The project includes the rehabilitation and maintenance national primary and secondary road network corridors which connects the capital of Madagascar to the very important economic regions of the country such as Lac Alaotra through the national road RN 44 in bituminous concrete pavement and to the port of Toamasina through the national Road n.2 . The projects roads are the following:
- Section1: National Road RN 44: from Marovaoy to Vohidiala (113 Km) and RN 3a to Manaingazipo
- Section 2: National Road RN 44 from Ambatondrazaka to Vohitraivo (70 Km)
- Section 3: Antananarivo to Brickaville (249 Km), including 26 bridges with average span of 25-30 metres.
Project included the following Drainage Infrastructures: (i) Road surface drainage with the drainage of stormwater runoff; (ii) Subsurface drainage with the interception and disposal of groundwater flows; (iii) Erosion protection measures for the slopes.
