The project purpose is the strengthening of the capacity of the Urban Water and Sewerage Authorities (UWSAs) in Mwanza, Iringa, Mbeya, and Mtwara, in terms of management, personnel and equipment.
The consulting services aim at enhancing the Ministry Officers’ expertise and know how in order to ensure the local government an autonomous management of the waste water system.
The consultants services are also intended to:
- Safeguard water resources;
- Identity adequate financial resources;
- Promote an industrial policy for the improvement of the existing control of water resources and utilities
- Determine operational and management tools and enterprise water utilities.
