PREPARATION OF A MASTER PLAN FOR WATER SUPPLY TARGETING VILLAGES ON THE RIVER NIGER
The Study for the Sewerage Master Plan of Mauritius is focused on the attainment of three objectives:
The first objective is the formulation of a phased programme covering a period of 20 years (2014-2033) for implementing wastewater system improvements to meet future demands in main islands of Mauritius and the outer island of Rodrigues.
The second objective is the delivery of wastewater sector master plan report that will detail the investments needed for the twenty years period and will recommend the actions to optimise the management of assets as well as achieve financial efficiency and environmental compliance.
The third objective is the formulation of a feasibility study for urgent projects to be implemented in the first ten years of the Plan.
The proposed Master Plan includes 14 new schemes with related sewerage networks and treatment plants to serve 23 localities with additional population of cca 420,000 inhabitants.

- Phase 2_ Feasibility Study of the works identified in the Master Plan for 10 years
- Phase 3_ Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Study
